A killer of a directorial debut from X2/Superman Returns screenwriter Michael Dougherty, Trick ‘r Treat is the best Halloween movie you’ve never seen. This film has been played only once before in Los Angeles and seen only by a few thousand nationwide. A vivid intersection of Halloween folk traditions, throwbacks to classic Hollywood scare fests, smart storytelling, and morbid humor, Trick ‘r Treat is a reminder of why we fell in love with Halloween in the first place.
