The RZA's latest tome of verbal chi gong, The Tao of Wu, takes the nonfiction baton from his 2005 Wu-Tang Manual and carries it to more personal and profound ends. An inlet to the luminous mind of the Ruler-Knowledge-Wisdom-and-Understanding-Allah (shortened to RZA), this memoir is both hip-hopping confessions of an omnivorous mind — taking in the wisdom of Shaolin and Islam, martial-arts flicks, and chess — and letters to a young artist. Tonight, the Wu-Tang chieftain appears to celebrate Tao's release, and to spread the gospel to those ready to receive.
