The Conservancy is proud to partner with theater company About...Productions on an exciting new event. Bleeding Through is a theatrical layering of live music, video, and interactive setting that uncovers the narrative ghosts of L.A.’s historic Angelino Heights neighborhood and the adjacent downtown area—a neighborhood where more cinematic “murders” have occurred than anywhere else in the world.
Written and directed by Theresa Chavez and Rose Portillo, and adapted from Norman Klein’s highly praised novella, this noir-influenced theaterwork explores the shaping of a city’s memory by commonplace experiences, chronicled history, and cinematic influences.
L.A. Conservancy members can use the code LAC5 for a $5 discount on your ticket purchase. Offer valid for all performances, including the Opening Night Noir Costume Party on Oct. 31. To become a Conservancy member, click here.
Bleeding Through takes place at Shakespeare Festival/L.A., 1238 West First Street, Downtown Los Angeles.
