Saturday Night Live legend and Emmy-winning comedian Steve Martin shows off his banjo chops at the Disney Concert Hall. It's no gimmick: Martin has been playing the four-string instrument since he was 17, and every hour of that practice is accounted for on his latest album, The Crow. Tonight he collaborates with the bluegrass specialists Steep Canyon Rangers, a North Carolina quintet carrying on the tradition of Americana music.

Walt Disney Concert Hall says…

Iconic comedian Steve Martin makes a very special appearance at Walt Disney Concert Hall to perform songs from his new album, The Crow: New Songs for the Five-String Banjo, currently on top of the Billboard Bluegrass Album Chart. Having won a Grammy for his collaboration with Earl Scruggs on Foggy Mountain Breakdown in 2001, this will be the accomplished instrumentalist's first public show in Los Angeles in decades, and follows his recent sold-out performance at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry.
