In its high-tech, state-of-the art test kitchen, Surfas hosts a cooking demonstration in honor of Día de los Muertos, the Latin American holiday that pays tribute to the dearly departed. Celebrity chef and founder of ArtBites, Maite Gomez-Rejón instructs chefs and foodies alike on the celebration's rich traditions, showing students how to prepare Oaxacan Black Mole with corn tortillas and Mexican hot chocolate from scratch. Combining "fine art and culinary art," Gomez-Rejón teaches participants to serve up a meal worthy of raising the dead — in a good way.
