Recently, Art Center College of Design students directed their communications prowess towards human rights, yielding emotionally-charged pieces that straddle the line between mass commercialism and high art. Expertly rendered, the posters represent the students' profound conceptual foresight. The designs — sponsored by France Los Angeles Exchange — premiered in 2008 at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris as a ceremony commemorating the 60th anniversary of the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and are now on view in a free exhibit at the Skirball.
