Four contemporary artists converge at Billy Shire Fine Arts to interpret similar themes in vastly different ways. Legendary record producer-turned-artist David Anderle's passion for portraiture has moved into the realm of landscapes, in which he now depicts the absence of human life. RISD alum Charlie Immer's cartoon-inspired imagery complement Anderle's hyper-real paintings, as Elizabeth McGrath relies on mixed media to re-contextualize living creatures in unlikely configurations. Gail Potocki's Old Masters-influenced artwork yields yet another dimension to the group show's singular vision, which addresses the tenuousness of natural order and the pervasiveness of human alienation.
