The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles says:

Collection: MOCA's First Thirty Years is the largest installation to date of the museum's world-renowned permanent collection, which numbers nearly 6,000 works. Featuring a selection of more than 500 works by over 200 artists at both of the museum's downtown Los Angeles locations, the exhibition provides a comprehensive history of the last 70 years of contemporary art and surveys every significant movement and development during this period.

While the show's curators take a glance backwards to highlight MOCA's prowess in collecting over the last three decades, they also hint at a brighter future by including works by acclaimed contemporary artists like Chris Ofili and Laura Owens.
