SHORTS FROM THE PALM SPRINGS FILM FESTIVAL This selection of award-winning films from the Palm Springs Shortfest includes: Karchi Perlmann's "The Dinner" (VACSORA) (Hungary, 27 min.), in which a pig farmer's minor accident turns into a catastrophe; Veronica DiPippo's "Dandelion Dharma" (USA, 24 min.), a bewitching tale about a young woman who's about to end it all when fate intervenes; Philip Hunt's "Lost and Found" (United Kingdom, 24 min.), a captivating animated film in which a young boy tries to get a lost penguin back home to the South Pole; and Katie Wolfe's "This Is Her" (New Zealand, 12 min.), a wry tale recounting a family's history and an interloper's comeuppance.
