Samuel Stewart, son of Eurythmic Dave Stewart, has garnered an impressive fanbase in the LA singer/songwriter scene, citing his need to play small clubs to gain real fans of his own. He takes the stage tonight with a bevy of promising artists, including former Poor Excuses frontman Andrew Lynch, who is poised to release Sun Incisions, a delightful parade of mega-musicians with Lynch's enigmatic lyricism at the helm. LA folk locals the Coals perform as well, along with the Eleni Mandell Jazz Combo.

Bootleg Theater says…

SAMUEL STEWART

“On stage, this studio recluse explodes into a state of unabashed child like enthusiasm, yet his lyrics explore mature subject matter that betray the years on his passport. Stewart’s music is marked by lush arrangements, deeply personal lyrics, and unique pop sensibilities. Pushing against the boundaries of musical genres, his music is a melding pot of styles and influences. All at once seemingly familiar, yet originally crafted and arranged defying any direct comparisons. Stewart’s current work not only reveals a great mind at work, it hints to a bright future of an artist who’s on the path to a long and creative career.” – Reverb Nation
