THE STONE FOXES
The Stone Foxes are a rock and roll band based in San Francisco, CA. Heavily influenced by the great rock, blues, folk and country stars of the 60s and 70s, the Stone Foxes play a unique brand of loose rock and roll and heavy, dirty blues that is otherwise lacking in today's music scene. Aaron Mort and brothers Spence and Shannon Koehler grew up playing music in the hills of California’s Central Valley, but it was not until after relocating to San Francisco for school that the three actually met and started playing music together. Los Angeles native/musician Avi Vinocur was introduced through a friend, and they all moved into a house in the Sunset, quickly converting the garage into their practice space. With two years in the San Francisco rock and roll scene under their belts, the Stone Foxes have contributed in keeping the spirit of San Francisco’s vibrant music scene alive. Quickly making friends with local bands and music fans, the Foxes have been gaining attention for their live shows that pack a heavy punch with personality to match. With warm overdriven amps, saturated bass, thumping drums, smokey vocals and a wailing blues harp, the Stone Foxes bring it down low and crank it up when the groove gets tight.
ELEVATERS:
Elevaters have been enticing fans on the Los Angeles circuit for years with brilliant songs that uplift and tug at the heartstrings with playful dexterity. Their charismatic, touching and comedic stage performances employ deep grooves and moody melodies with sensitive arrangements in every composition.
STAXX BROTHERS:
Where as The 12th Street Blues documents the evolution of the group over its 3 1/2 years of production, We are The Blaxstonz, completed over that many months captures everything The Staxx Brothers gained in establishing its definitive line up. Out of the wilderness years, DP Staxx & his back up singers The Staquelettes cut their teeth on the Staples and dined on the Carters. The band however stood the most to gain from hard time on the road; developing a sound as heard on deep cuts like ‘G-Spot’ & ‘Game Recognize Game,’ which has led many impressionable young women to collapse from sheer exhaustion. While many church groups have called these dark rhythms an abomination and an immediate threat to our nation’s youth, it takes but one listen to the sabers rattlin’ and heads rollin’, on songs like ‘Almost Got Shot in North Minneapolis’ & ‘Little Big Time’ to know these accusations are of merit.
