In the tradition of Paris' Theatre du Grand Guignol, LA's Grand Guignolers combine macabre storytelling with delightful performances. This time, the theme is a luxurious cruise to 1920s Shanghai: board the "ship," dance the Charleston, sip some tea or absinthe, and pose for period photos. "Sing Song Girls" ply the world's oldest profession; an exotic madame has a creepy collection in the play-within-a-play called A Cabinet of Hands; and Chinese mobsters may draw you into their conflict — so beware!90s-1960s)1960s)
