Even if you're not an opera fan, chances are you've enjoyed arias from Gioachino Rossini's crowd-pleasing comic opera. Not only is The Barber of Seville one of the 20 most-performed operas in America, it's famously serenaded audiences on the big screen (in the trailer for Sacha Baron Cohen's homo-larious blockbuster Bruno) and the small screen (in the Seinfeld episode, "The Barber.") LA Opera's star-studded production has at least two great reasons to aquaint yourself with the full story: Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Flórez and American mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato.
