Curated by Art Cinema author Paul Young, The Best of Loop: Remote Viewing examines the span of contemporary global video art, with almost 40 single-channel projected works and 20 monitor pieces occupying two enormous gallery spaces within the Pacific Design Center. Artists from the UK, the Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Spain, and France join creative minds from China, India, Israel, and Iran who all imaginatively record, reproduce, and broadcast moving visual images. The Best of Loop is held in conjunction with the Pacific Design Center's Design Loves Art event, which also kicks off November 19, and includes several other gallery shows (such as Carl Berg and den contemporary) in the PDC's new exhibition spaces.
