LA's own nonprofit working to benefit African children, NextAid has continuously given us inventive fundraisers, having joined forces with the likes of the Afro Funké dance parties. Now, the org hosts its second annual World AIDS Day fundraiser at Chris Paine's Marrakesh House (address revealed only to ticket-holders). The almost all-night party features musicians, comics, dancers, and ArcheDream for Humanity, an "international black light mask theatre company," along with food, drink, and a silent auction of African art. At $75 in advance, it's a pretty good deal, especially considering the same amount funds an African child's education for an entire year. Look at it as a holiday gift to yourself you can feel good about.
