Carrying on the tradition of Polish theater's deeply influential innovator, Jerzy Grotowski, Teatr Zar's members alter the notion of theater through acts of deeply personal communal ritual. Led by director of the Grotowski Institute, Jaroslaw Fret, Triptych has developed through many years of research into centuries-old polyphonic songs, creating a deep theatrical experience that provokes a haunting, poetic, disturbing and, ultimately, spiritual transformation in the audience.
