The ethereal Chapin Sisters continue their once-a-month residency at the Hotel Café. With a background as compelling as its sound, the Brooklyn-raised trio (Abigail and Lily are the daughters of singer Tom Chapin, and Jessica is the daughter of director Wes Craven) seems beamed in from the early '60s and run through a modern indie filter, rocking lo-fi acoustic guitars, tambourines, and harmonies with self-consciously simple lyrics that are at once melancholy and smart.
