Based on the Machine Project Field Guide to LACMA, the book offers alternative perspectives of a cultural institution from the point of view of the Echo Park-based arts collective, Machine Project. They're supported by friends Jennifer the Leopard, who have been navigating a post-ironic, performance pop-art landscape with pared-down 21st-century garage-rock, a rousing sub-audience, and even their moms — tapping into our creative zeitgeist and triggering unity through chaos via an innovative performance subgenre.
