Founded by artists in an attempt to inject the publishing world with some of the unmediated verve and vigor of the studios and galleries of LA, edgy periodical Beautiful/Decay releases its 26th issue this month — thus completing its full cycle of the alphabet. In honor of this typological milestone, the founders curate a powerful exhibition of 26 artists culled from years of the publication's pages, soliciting new work inspired by the mag's name from each one. A bit tautological, sure, but with fresh mini-masterpieces from some of California's most electrifying new voices on display, you're better off just going with it.
