Founded in 2007, the Easy 10 Filmmaker Series is a forum for fledgling filmmakers to shoot, screen, and distribute their flicks to the public. This year, Scion teams up with Giant Robot, Juxtapoz, and Vice (among others) to bring the latest crop of movies to the public. Series highlights include BDK, about old-school hip-hop maestro Big Daddy Kane; The Dwelling, a documentary spotlighting Tokyo's unseen homeless inhabitants; The Rock, a fanciful presentation of the history of music; and David Hollander's story of a Vietnam-era US Army funk band, East of Underground.
