Film Independent, producer of the LA Film Festival and the Spirit Awards, hosts Directors Close-Up — inspiring panels every Wednesday night at the Landmark Theater in West LA. Catch insightful discussions (followed by Q&As and receptions) centering on the directorial vision, with emerging and established figures from Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight) to Courtney Hunt (Frozen River). Later panels offer salient input from the producers, writers, and agents that help turn those visions into movies, as well as an investigation into nascent technologies — and just what the digital revolution means for the future of cinema.
