Allee Willis presents Hey Jerrie! Launch Party

Allee Willis loves a project. Writing iconic American songs like "September" and "Boogie Wonderland" for Earth, Wind & Fire, and "The Neutron Dance" for Beverly Hills Cop, plus music for the recent Color Purple musical, isn't enough for this dynamo. She also collects and makes art, and produces online music videos for a series of eccentric collaborative undertakings. The latest of these unlikely partnerships is celebrated in a debut party at Ghettogloss, as Willis unveils Hey Jerrie! — an original song and video starring incomparable nonagenarian jazz drummer Jerrie Thill. Tonight's party fetes Thill's enduring sass and sparkle with music, video, and even an oxygen bar, in honor of the tank she uses behind the drums.

I saw a late edit of this and it's amazing. not in the way you'd think but trust me you want to see this. Peep it on You Tube if you can't make the party.

ok that was nuts. Charles Phoenix, other celebs sure but the best was the lady that played the hooker who Borat ended up married to in the movie. Good times all around.
