David Denby is a film critic for the New Yorker; he's also the author of the recently published Snark, a book-length essay that traces the evolution of its subject from ancient Athens to Gossip Girl. The subject of a recent Flavorwire interview, Denby explains that, while his argument is not without flaws, generating a discussion about style was his ultimate goal in writing the book. (All the hilarity doesn't hurt either.) He signs copies of Snark following tonight's reading.
