Forty years after Easy Rider hit the silver screen, Harley-Davidson's out to prove the rebel is alive and well. Commissioning 11 contemporary artists to create pieces offering their take on the spirit of rebellion, the motorcycle heavyweight storms Bergamot Station's Robert Berman Gallery for one night only. Masters of lowbrow vinyl and graphics Frank Kozik and Bob Dob participate alongside bad boys turned art stars the Clayton Brothers and the ubiquitous Shepard Fairey, street-art powerhouse and newest inductee at DC's National Portrait Gallery. Though such an honor from the Man may seem a contradiction, it drives Harley's point home: the rebel's thriving, even in the halls of power.
