Psychic healer Kieran Sala curated Within Heaven's Earshot after guests were asked to bring offbeat records to a ModCom Christmas party. Featuring albums like Annie Fry's Jesus Use Me and Ira North's If I Were a Woman, the endeavor has grown into a month-long celebration of the arcane, appropriately on view through Lent and ending on Easter Sunday. The exhibit of over 300 LPs features those on loan from nine collectors, including Germs drummer Don Bolles, musician Howie Pyro, and former chair of the LA Conservancy Chris Nichols. Also on view are original works by Steven Escandon, Nora Keyes, and owleyes — as well as pieces by Basil Wolverton, courtesy of the Worldwide Church of God.
