After winding down a US tour with Stereolab, Wilco, and Cold War Kids, the musically elusive Richard Swift allegedly recorded his forthcoming album, The Atlantic Ocean, on an outdated analog-tape contraption in Wilco's Midwestern hideout. Tonight, he appears at Downtown Santa Ana's Yost Theater, seamlessly blending raw, bass-heavy melodies with distorted vocals and a blues-driven beat.
