LA native Tofer Chin's large-format paintings explore the impact of LSD, including its ability to prolong and exaggerate the effects of visual stimuli. Drawing on Op-Art conventions, Chin's hallucinatory triptych Double Dip features heavily layered forms that redefine the junction between the real and the imagined. Having trained as an architect with Frank Gehry, David O'Brien also fuses ordered imagery with an organic sensibility, as evidenced by his collection of substantial, fluid works, Explosions in a Mental Sky.
