Tango Mar Vista invites those bored with the gym to participate in a week-long series of free introductory tango classes. Resident dance aficionados Mitra Martin and Stefan Fabry guide newbies through moves involving rhythmic footwork, characterized by a close embrace, reminiscent of its origins in clubs of the '50s. Students don't need a partner to participate, just a desire to "engage Tango consciously as a force for good in their lives, their relationships, and the world."
