Chinatown's Charlie James Gallery becomes more appliance store than art space during Steve Lambert's solo show Everything You Want, Right Now! As founder of the Anti-Advertising Agency and close collaborator with the Yes Men, Lambert works to expose corporate smokescreens and illuminate the crud behind consumer culture's bright, shiny objects. After creating tools like Add-Art — the Firefox app that replaces web ads with curated art — Lambert takes a stab at signage, re-envisioning the public medium to reveal the falsity in the fancy promise.
