The 14th annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books returns to UCLA, with scores of exhibitors joined by writers, musicians, culinary experts, and other lit-world celebrities. The two-day extravaganza features over 100 panels on topics ranging from poetry, fiction, and memoirs to mystery, sports, and religion, while six outdoor stages feature readings by the likes of Bob Barker, T.C. Boyle, and Mary Higgins Clark. The scope of the festival continues to expand as well; the Comix Strip — a section reserved for the graphic novel — reappears for its second year as part of the fête, while stunning art and design pubs like those from Ballistic and the Kinokuniya Bookstore continue to blossom along LA's literary midway.
