Taking cues from Montreal's Mutek festival and Berlin's Transmediale, LACE (itself a noted institution on the international avant-garde performance-art map for decades) joins with Volume to bring the latest transmutations from the borderlands of electronica, performance, and sound art to Hollywood Boulevard. The three-day Resonant Forms opens Friday with the premiere of SUE-C and Laetitia Sonami's live cinema piece Sheepwoman (inspired by Haruki Murakami novels), and closes Sunday with ArtSpa, led by composer/masseur Adam Overton. In between, search out further interdisciplinary delights from the likes of Lucky Dragons, James Elaine, William Basinski, and Mark Trayle.
