The Fountain Theatre says…

In the early '50s, British biophysicist Rosalind Franklin labored in a King's College London lab to unravel the structure of DNA. Her photography of nucleic acid through X-ray diffraction yielded Photograph 51, a watershed in the scientific understanding of genetic molecules. Unfortunately, the scientist's invaluable image was leaked to a pair of Cambridge competitors, who won the Nobel Prize after working off of Franklin's research. Playwright Anna Ziegler's snapshot of the postwar-era London lab breathes life into Franklin's little-known story, recognizing her critical contributions to science — and serving as a touching reflection on work, the meaning of life, and the nature of destiny.
