An early pioneer in the now prolific alt-cabaret scene, local Jessica Fichot takes inspiration from her international background's musical traditions for her winning, slightly cheeky, avant-garde performances. Toy piano, accordion, live drum 'n bass, and Fichot's own ice-and-snow mezzo recast French standards in genres from pop to le jazz hot, spanning traditional Chinese love songs, unexpected twists on familiar torch songs, and jazzy melodies you'll never hear the same way again. She's supported tonight by a pair of sultry speakeasy divas who each put their own stamp on the come-hither cabaret aesthetic.
