The Grand Central Art Center Gallery at Cal State Fullerton features over 40 original works by the Grammy-winning Creative Director of Rhino Records, Hugh Brown. Working in a variety of media, the esteemed designer uses the chainsaw as his principal subject in Allegedly: The Hugh Brown Chainsaw Collection, with each of his works fashioned in the style of a different iconic artist. Among the maestros evoked by Brown are Barbara Kruger, Ed Ruscha, Roy Lichtenstein, David Hockney, Alexander Calder, and Robert Mapplethorpe, but by highlighting the high-powered cutting tool in every piece, Brown's show remains his own.
