This group exhibition examines the process of mentorship and its influence in the unfolding of art history, to the degree that it has manifested itself in the intergenerational — and intercontinental — career paths of four individual painters. Vigen Tadevossian of Yerevan; Kiki (Grigor Mikaelian) of Yerevan and Los Angeles; Lark (Larisa Pilinsky) of Los Angeles; and Georgeanne Aldrich Heller of Los Angeles and New York have studied together, under, and alongside one another for decades — creating an evolving language of alternately whimsical and ominous, abstract and formal components to create painted images of immense poetry and power.
