When two international brewing distributors and an artist got together to open their own bar in 1999, they didn't know their business would eventually grow to include six other themed watering holes across California, including the Little Cave, Saints and Sinners, and Stinkers Truck Stop. This week, the 1933 Group — appropriately named after the year prohibition was repealed — celebrates its ten-year anniversary at its forestry-themed flagship bar, Bigfoot Lodge. And with the opening of yet another Bigfoot Lodge, this time in Culver City, the group has even more reason to celebrate, offering up drink specials, Sasquatch sightings, and Sunday-afternoon live music for that fuzzy, feel-good campfire glow.
