Before his much talked-about Serge Gainsbourg-inspired collaborative album with Scarlett Johansson drops, Pete Yorn hits the Roxy tonight for an oddly billed "Triumphant Return." Maybe it's because Yorn's last disc, 2006's NightCrawler, completed the third installment in a musical trilogy that began with his debut masterpiece, MusicForTheMorningAfter. While fans of that disc and the Me, Myself & Irene hit "Strange Condition" will find similar melodies in Back And Fourth, his new Mike Mogis-produced disc also takes a fresh spin into some stripped-down, acoustic spaces.
