With Create:Fixate's Build occurring on the same weekend as Dwell on Design, the City of Angels takes its rightful place as a contender for architecture-and-design capital of the globe. While Dwell on Design highlights aesthetics, however, Create:Fixate examines the process and outcome of creation, in addition to the structures themselves. Revealing that construction isn't just for architects, the venue features optical and audio lounges, installations, video art, live painters, fashion, and jewelry — all orbiting around [re]BUILD, a contest presented by art collective LAA.
