A diverse group of emerging LA artists join forces to give your garbage a new lease on life. Work in the second installment of Diverted Destruction is made entirely from discarded materials, as quirks of color, texture, or sentiment catch an artist's eye and rescue obsolete objects from oblivion. New artists have been encouraged to submit work throughout the exhibition, all of which will be installed in time for the closing reception on September 10. In the meantime, the Loft hosts a BYOB dinner salon and conversation with the artists on August 5, where imaginative dishes and environmental solutions are encouraged to be shared.
