Dangerbird artists Eulogies are back from tour with a vengeance, delivering their lyrical, lo-fi wall of melody backed by drummer Chris Reynolds' staccato pacing. Creating a deceptively simple, spare effect with dense layers of sound, they combine some of the best elements of Silversun Pickups, early Death Cab, and Built to Spill. Long Beacher Avi Buffalo opens, with a rich and chiming California sound, reminiscent of Mercury Rev or the Microphones; and Bad Veins, from Cincinnati, serve up shimmering, soaring lo-fi pop.
