Trekking LA's Street Food series examines the traditional foods of urban street vendors from around the world, experienced through the microcosms of global culture found within LA's rich tapestry of neighborhoods. The series continues tonight with an afterhours tamale-making workshop at MacArthur Park institution Mama's Hot Tamales. Mama is keeping the place open late to share at least some of her secrets at a rare personal class, followed by a picnic, concert, and salsa lessons from MacArthur Park dance instructors.
