Tonight, Synchronicity Space screens Jupiter and Beyond the Infinite, a multimedia video mash-up curated by Ben Bigelow and incorporating works from 19 artists — including East Coast art collective Paper Rad, Bigelow, and animator extraordinaire Alexis Gideon, among others. Bigelow's focus on the art experience and the "emotional associations this experience lets loose" leads to a kaleidoscope of imagery that packs a powerful, psychedelic punch, evoking both the ecstatic and the sinister. Prior to this evening's screening, stroll through the Melrose Avenue art space to take a look at 2-D and 3-D artifacts from Jupiter.
