Eagle Rock's Center for the Arts plays host to a pre-release party celebrating the third volume of the mammoth Penny-Ante art tome, which includes works by poetically-inclined British painter and scribe, Billy Childish; contributor to Harvard Business Review, Fiction International, and Flaunt, Larry Fondation; Stephen McCarty of Dead Meadow; Thurston Moore; and Guided by Voices' Robert Pollard. Tonight's fête features relentless live performances from contributors such as one half of Half Japanese, Jad Fair, who is supported by Brooklyn's Lumberob; landmark LA art-punkers Urinals; Man's Assassination Man; plus the performance/art of Dawn Kasper, who investigates "process-oriented art" through her Exposure of Process.
