In his first solo exhibit at the Hammer Museum, consummate LA artist Larry Johnson exposes the fringe elements of celebrity through commercially-inspired imagery. The legendary CalArts alum teams up with experimental film wizard William E. Jones for a related film series evocative of erstwhile LA porn houses, with films by both Johnson and Jones, as well as a documentary about Hugh Hefner; The Paul Lynde Show: No Nudes is Good Nudes; and works by Warhol associate Michel Auder, SoCal native Christopher Munch, Joe Sola, and Pat Rocco.
