LA native and CalArts alum Carlos Ramos merges his background in character animation with the art of classic poster design in India, a new solo exhibition at Corey Helford Gallery. Drawing on the South Asian country's rich creative resources, Ramos navigates a culturally complex landscape, offering a brilliant account of a subcontinent that has visually represented itself through its history, religions, and philosophies. Using Cel-Vinyl and and gold-leaf, Ramos delivers an engaging series of vibrant, luminous works that are as colorful as the country they represent.
