Kelly Coyne and Erik Knutzen have chronicled the transformation of their prewar LA bungalow into a model of sustainable living, both in an ongoing blog and in the recent Process Media publication, The Urban Homestead: Your Guide to Self-Sufficient Living in the Heart of the City. Tonight, the enterprising duo make an appearance at Project Butterfly for a lecture and workshop, opening the doors to green living for novices and experts alike. Participants will be educated on how to construct their own self-irrigating planters and learn how to make their own sauerkraut, and as if the reward of self-reliance weren't enough, they'll be treated to a tasty vegetarian meal and drinks as well.
