Mear One's legendary psychedelic, often graffiti-inspired surrealism and Michael Pukac's baroque, almost classically narrative paintings — and their shared interest in the rich symbolism of urban spirituality — make for a lively exhibition. Both artists have a knack for portraying the heroic vision-quest, one with a refined classical mimicry and the other with kaleidoscopic, semi-abstract gesture.
