LA-based Pollyn is taking on the big city, indie style – gaining grassroots momentum as word of their memorable live shows spreads. With sultry, kittenish vocals, bouncy synth, and on-stage laptop remixing, Pollyn's sound falls somewhere on the continuum of glamorous, retro, lounge-inspired indie pop and sophisticated urban scene-stealing cocktail party atmospherics.

The Mint says…

The Frequency at 11:15, POLLYN at 10pm, Big Moves at TBA

Pollyn creates atmospheric pop music. They have just finished mixing their first full length album entitled, "This Little Night" with Kristian Riley and Dave Cooley (Silversun Pick Ups & Darker My Love). It is now available digitally through iTunes, Amazon and eMusic.
-
Pollyn is Genevieve Artadi, Anthony Cava, and Adam Jay Weissman, a music machine from Los Angeles who began collaborating in 1999.
-
Their debut EP, Songs for Sale featured production by Tom Rothrock (Beck, Elliott Smith, James Blunt), and garnered comparisons to Sade, Everything But the Girl, and Morcheeba.

Pulling influences from soul, tropicalia, prog-rock, jazz, and electronic music, Pollyn's sound is hard to categorize, but strangely comforting. Stick out your ear, and listen....
