International squeezebox extremists and alt-folk instrumentalists tour the west, as Vancouver's Geoff Berner — a self-described "Klezmer mongrel" — shares his edgy spin on the Jewish folk catalog. Former Gogol Bordello member Stevhen Iancu infuses fiery tunes with traditional Japanese style. Eric Stern, of Portland's Vagabond Opera, romances his accompaniment with a French musette, Balkan, and Arabic hit-parade. And Seattle's Jason Webley's vocals passionately give his caterwauling squeezebox a run for its money.
