When the Infinite Summer project kicked off in June, a collection of writers designated this the summer to finally buckle down and read David Foster Wallace's weighty, precocious, funny, sad, end-note packed tome, Infinite Jest. The project's calculations assert that the thousand-plus page novel (which upon publication in the mid-'90s distinguished DFW as a preeminent literary mind of his generation) could be read and completed in the summer by digesting a mere 75 pages per week.
